As we approach the most festive and popular holiday season of the year, you can be sure to see advertisements of joyful, tranquil family settings as if the foundation of family gatherings is as innocent as apple pie and a glass of milk. Not so at all. Some reading this may very well enjoy a close-knit, laugh fest of family good times. Great for you. The reality for many others though is that too often enough, important issues along the path of life between family members are never properly brought to the table for discussion, creating an underlying volcano of mental and/or emotional turmoil.

Ryan Leslie's Video Plea for Laptop Return - $1 Million Dollar Reward
Really Ryan Leslie?! Saturday Ryan Leslie tweeted and released a video for a reward of $1 million dollars with the return of his laptop.
Leslie lost the laptop in Cologne, Germany while he was touring when it was left unattended in the back of a black Mercedes October 23rd. The Mercedes was briefly left unattended when his security drivers escorted him into a nightclub. That's when his bag which contained his MacBook, $10,000, and his passport were stolen.
I pray that laptop ends in my hands. I could use an extra million dollars. Sigh...
Here goes the YouTube video of Ryan Leslie's plea
AKON DIAGNOSES HIP-HOP AS A VIRUS, "IT'LL EAT UP ANYTHING
Here goes a short quote from a recent article in SOHH.com:
"One thing about hip-hop, it'll begin to stand alone, a movement by itself. It was just a hardcore drum beat bass line and that's all you saw. Then, it started to slowly travel into the funk era, and it took over that whole funk era, and that's when the West Coast came and brought that whole vibe to it so it just slowly came in effect at that part of it...."

Kanye West and Keri Hilson to perform at 84th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
I haven't attended the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade since I was a little girl. Me plus a large crowd, is no bueno. If you check out this free live event, you will have the opportunity to see performances and appearances by Kanye, Keri, The Roots, India.Arie, Jessica Simpson, Miranda Cosgrove, Juanes, Eric Hutchinson, and Gladys Knight.
The parade will take place at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day (November 25) and will feature its signature helium balloons, floats, marching bands and more. As usual, it will also feature a big shot cameo by Santa Claus.
You can also watch it live with Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer co-hosting along with Al Roker.
I don't think I ever really watched a performance of Keri Hilson. Does she do well live? Just asking.
